I found my way to Northern Nevada some twenty-odd years ago. Originally, I’m from Northern Illinois from a small town not far from the Nevada Township (they don’t pronounce it correctly, though). In fact, my dad’s family lived there for a time, although today it’s pretty much just a cemetery overgrown with weeds. I’ve also lived in New York and Florida, but I was meant to call Nevada home — because we have the same birthday: October 31, 1964.
I’m proud to call Reno my home, and equally proud to be part of the vibrant local performing arts scene. I’ve been doing stand-up comedy for a few years now, and recently I’ve been killing them at Pioneer Underground. I don’t know if I would have had these opportunities elsewhere, so this town and this state are pretty special to me.
