Fallon, Nev. — The Nevada 150 celebration continues as Fallon commemorates the Silver State. The community will join together for a day of festivities honoring Nevada’s historical legacy on Saturday, June 21.

Kick start the morning with the Hometown Heroes Fun Run & Field Day at Churchill County High School from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy recreational games and activities, while connecting with local heroes.

Join the United Postal Services for the NV 150 Postage Stamp Dedication at the Old Post Office from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Learn the background of the dedication process and have first access to Nevada’s prized new memorabilia.

Fall back into frontier life for the Wells Fargo Stagecoach Rides at Oats Park from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Explore beautiful scenery while riding in iconic silver state fashion. All rides are free.

Participate in Relay For Life at Churchill County High school at 5 p.m.  Enjoy music, food and games while supporting research for a cure.

End the day at the Concert in the Park with Los Texmaniacs on the Centennial Stage at Oats Park at 7:30 p.m. Los Texmaniacs will perform a set fused  with Rock and Roll and Jazz hits.

Nevada’s Sesquicentennial, the 150th anniversary of Nevada’s admission to the Union, will provide opportunities for celebration and reflection as we come together statewide to commemorate our shared history and build a foundation of cultural appreciation for generations to come. Nevada’s one of a kind and diverse history will be celebrated throughout the state for an entire year in order to promote pride in the shared heritage of all Nevadans.
