Description: Governor Brian Sandoval will keynote the Veterans Day ceremonies at the Nevada State Veterans Home (NSVH) on November 11, 2013. Each year, the NSVH hosts the ceremony in honor of veterans who are alive and living in Nevada. “On any day you can walk up to a veteran and say ‘Thank You’,” says Director Kat Miller. “Veterans Day is an opportunity for us to come together as a nation and recognize the sacrifice of service these men and women have given to our country.” Veterans Day ceremonies are planned throughout the state and the NDVS encourages and hopes every Nevadan can take time to attend and thank a Veteran for their service. Attendees at the NSVH ceremony will include national and state officials, representatives of veterans group and veteran supporters from the community. The ceremony is sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans Black Mountain Chapter 12 and will begin at 1:30 pm. NSVH is located at 100 Veterans Memorial Dr. Boulder City, NV and the event will take place in the main parking lot. Local and state media representatives are invited to attend.
