Time: 3:45 PM
To celebrate tourism and its contributions to Nevada’s growth and success, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s Las Vegas Host Committee will be hosting a travel and tourism rally at The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 6 at 3:45 p.m. In partnership with the Nevada Sesquicentennial, leaders will gather to recognize the state’s 150th birthday during National Travel and Tourism Week. Tourism is the No. 1 economic driver for the state and plays an important part in its history. The Mob Museum will also debut their new exhibit, The Cowboy Sheriff, dedicated to the life and times of Ralph Lamb. From 1961-1979, Sheriff Ralph Lamb enforced the law in Las Vegas, a city teeming with organized crime. Please wear blue and join us on May 6 at 3:45pm to recognize the tourism industry and our state’s birthday at The Mob Museum. Following the rally, everyone is invited to a celebration on Third Street, featuring appetizers and signature drinks from the restaurants at the Downtown Grand and Pizza Rock.
