Description: Enjoy a reenactment of the Morse Code Sending of the State Constitution to President Lincoln by the Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 1 in Carson City. The society will be set up on the Capitol Grounds next to the miner statue and will have a Telegraph station setup for people to visit and to allow visitors to try their luck at sending the constitution themselves. The Nevada State Constitution was originally sent to President Lincoln via telegram for signing to officially make Nevada a state just before the election of 1864.
