Description: Las Vegas is known for a lot of things, most of them somehow connected with adult entertainment.  But what is also true is that Las Vegas hosts the largest Veterans’ Day Parade in the country after New York.  The Las Vegas Veterans’ Day Parade is the largest west of the Mississippi.  In spite of what is sometimes said about Las Vegas, one thing is very true:  This is a very patriotic community that is proud to show our appreciation for the commitment to defend nation and our way of life by our military veterans and active military personnel.  Every southern Nevada high school JROTC participates along with local civic groups and entries from Arizona and California.  Every year we honor a particular group.  This year that recognition goes to the United States Air Force.  Regardless of the day of the week it falls on, we honor time-held tradition and hold the parade on November 11th in downtown Las Vegas.  VFW Post 1753, Beasley Broadcasting’s Newstalk 720 KDWN/, and Humana invite you to bring your entire family and join us for the one parade you will never forget.
