Description: In honor of the Nevada Day holiday and Nevada’s Sesquicentennial all State Nevada State Museums will offer free admission on October 31. This includes the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas, the Lost City Museum in Overton, the Nevada Historical Society in Reno, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, the Nevada State Museum in Carson City, the Easy Ely Railroad Depot Museum in Ely, and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. In Las Vegas not only is the Nevada State Museum FREE on the 31st; but the Las Vegas Springs Preserve is also FREE that day as well. In Carson City it’s a BONUS weekend as the Nevada State Museum and the Nevada State Railroad Museum will offer FREE admission on both Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st. This in recognition of the Nevada Day parade in Carson City on November 1st. The Railroad Museum will have the McKeen car out for a rare opportunity to ride; a fee does apply for the train ride but museum admission is FREE.
