Description: Always Lost: A Meditation on War, the poignant arts and humanities exhibit that brings home the personal and collective costs of war, will be displayed at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas (located at the Springs Preserve) from 9/27/14-10/27/14 as part of a special Nevada 150 tour sponsored by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS). The exhibition includes original poetry by Nevada writers; the 2004 Pulitzer Prize-winning Iraq War combat photograph collection (Breaking News Photography) courtesy of The Dallas Morning News; and the Wall of the Dead, faces and names of U.S. military war casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. Always Lost: A Meditation on War began as a class project at Western Nevada College, Carson City, in 2009 and has been on a national tour since 2010. Admission to the Nevada State Museum is $9.95 for adults, $4.95 for children, and $8.95 for 65+ and those with a military or student ID. State Museum and Springs Preserve members are free.
